Pond Party

Play as a Frog DJ in the forest, spinning tunes for all kinds of little woodland creatures! Pick songs and cozy nature-themed DJ equipment to match the vibes of your parties, earning points and money along the way. Complete requests from the crowd on the DJ Mixer and fix technical issues in microgames.

This game is a prototype! It has bugs! But is still a lot of fun to play :) Made for a 15-week independent study on Godot Engine. All assets, music, and code were made by me.

How To Play:

PREPARING FOR A GIG

1. Accept a gig from the list, and click "PREPARE FOR SHOW" when ready.
2. Purchase equipment from the Gear Shop, or equip owned gear from the Gear Inventory, selecting a Turntable, Laptop, Speaker Set, and Lights that match the Vibes of the event.
   1. Tip: The better gear you equip, the more points per second it will generate! Match the vibes of the gear to gain a multiplier on those points.
3. Purchase songs from the Song Shop, or queue songs from the Song Inventory that match the Vibes of the event. 
4. Click "START SHOW" when ready.

PERFORMING A GIG

As the gig progresses, the timer bar at the bottom of the screen will fill up. Optimize your song selections and request completion to get as many points as you can!

The Mixer

1. Move your mouse to the bottom of the screen to open the Mixer.
2. Click the << and >> buttons to switch to a new song, or click the song title to enter the song selector. Songs transition in and out automatically.
   1. Tip. Any song vibes that match the vibes of the gig will add additional multiplier to your points.
3. Use the BASS, TREBLE, and TEMPO sliders to change change how the songs sound!
4. Press the SOUND EFFECT PADS to play different sound effects.
5. Move the mouse back up to the top of the screen to return to the spectator view.

Requests

1. Move your mouse to the right side of the screen to see requests from your audience.
2. Throughout the gig, the audience may request specific songs, bass and treble adjustments, or specific sound effects. Fulfill requests to earn extra tip money!

QTEs

1. In the life of a DJ, nothing ever goes perfect. You may encounter small issues that go wrong throughout the show, such as a cable being unplugged or feedback coming from your speakers.
2. Complete the mingame to solve the issue and get back to DJing.
3. While something has gone wrong, you won't be able to use the mixer to fulfill requests!
4. Succeeding at a QTE will reward you money, while failing will subtract points.
